CAN I PICK UP MY ARTWORK FROM YOUR STUDIO?
Absolutely! You are also welcome & encouraged to pick up your original artwork in person at my studio in Forest, Virginia. Please email me prior to purchasing for a discount code in order to forgo shipping fees altogether and we will work out a time to meet via email. You may contact us to set up a time here.
MY ARTWORK ARRIVED DAMAGED OR WAS NOT DELIVERED OR WAS LOST OR WAS STOLEN FROM MY DOORSTEP. IS THIS SOMETHING YOU CAN HELP WITH?
We are not liable for any mishandling or failed delivery by the shipping service (USPS or UPS, domestically or internationally), and we are not liable for any damage incurred post-delivery. We work hard to package each order with care in sturdy flat mailers, tubes, and shipping boxes so that it arrives undamaged, and we suggest you handle your new artwork with care when framing and/or stretching. Please be kind when reaching out and remember that we do not run the post office or UPS, and we have no control over the treatment of your package in transit! It’s just as much of a bummer for us to see damaged products as it is for you to receive them.
That being said, this is how we typically handle situations that fall outside of our control:
Not Delivered / Lost / Stolen: If your package is marked “Delivered” and yet is nowhere to be found on your doorstep, please first check your confirmation email to ensure that you input the correct shipping address. The entire situation is out of our hands if the shipping address is incorrect. If the address is correct and you believe your package to have been lost, stolen, or if you missed the delivery, you must contact the shipping service personally. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything we can do on our end, so we are unable to address any failed delivery or theft issues directly. If a package is unable to be delivered, and is returned to our studio, we are happy to reship, but ask that you pay the for the additional postage.
Each original piece of Fine Art is fully insured and will be handled according to the carriers instructions. Once the situation is resolved, and the insurance claim has been paid, Gwen will be happy to paint a replacement piece if desired. If you would like to pay for a piece in advance of the insurance settlement, Gwen will be happy to get started on the process.

WHO ACTUALLY OWNS THE PAINTING?
I retain all rights to all artwork I create. This includes the rights to the image of sold & commissioned original paintings. I retain the right to make reproductions of any and all artwork I create unless the Collector has purchased the full or partial rights to the artwork (this is in addition to purchasing the original).
The Collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission.
If the artwork ends up being reproduced in a magazine or other media I only ask for credit (and congratulations! that means your home is incredibly beautiful!).
When you purchase an original painting you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork in your home or business (huzzah!) but the artwork may not be resold or reproduced without my written permission.
Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing full or partial rights to your painting. Some collectors choose to purchase my right to reproduce the artwork to ensure it will never become a print. I am totally happy to discuss that with you if you would like!
A note on pricing:
Understanding that purchasing from us, you are purchasing an original, one of a kind, work of Fine Art. Each piece is crafted with thought and intention, using the highest quality materials available: professional level paints, brushes and canvases. Each work is sealed with two isolation coats and 2 coats of removable varnish so your painting will stand the test of time.
95% of the colors you will see on one of my canvases are custom mixed. The time and creative energy invested in each piece is considerable.
My goal is that each painting will bring tremendous light, exuberant joy and boundless love to its new owner reminding them to be present, to love themselves and to fill their lives with hope and promise every time they pass by and catch a glimpse, even if only out of the corner of their eye.
How can you ever put a price on that?
